经加拿大政府对外交流项目部的多轮筛选，我院“加拿大研究项目组”成功申请加拿大政府资助项目“加拿大研究发展项目”（Canadian Studies Development Program）。该项目将为我院与多伦多大学开展双边对等交流提供学术平台和机遇。
在此项目资助下，应我院“加拿大研究项目”组邀请，多伦多大学政治学系终身教授、加拿大著名外交学家、“G8项目”负责人John Kirton 教授；著名国际政治学学者、多伦多大学“MUNK Center”“亚洲研究院”院长Joe Wong教授将分别于2007年12月15日-22日和2008年1月9日-12日访问我院。届时，Kirton 教授、Wong教授将分别在松江和虹口校区公开讲学，并将与我院研究人员开展“圆桌讨论”。Kirton 教授的演讲题目为：“"Strengthening Global Governance: The G8，China, the Heiligendamm Process and 2010."。演讲内容将围绕：a） The G8 structure, evolution and performance (with a little comparison to other plurilateral summit institutions such as the recent East Asian Summit and APEC); b）China's relationship with and role in the G8 since 1975; c）The recent "Heiligendamm Process", established at the 2007 G8 summit, which joined the G8 and its "outreach five" partners led by China in a structured dialogue on specified subjects for the next two years (through to 2009); d）The 2010 G8 summit hosted by Canada and what will happen then, including the emergence of a genuine "G13" with China that will reinforce, rival or replace the Bretton-Woods-UN architecture as the effective centre of global governance for the twenty first century world.
Wong教授的演讲主题分别为：“Managing Uncertainty in Knowledge Industries: The Case of Biotech in Industrial East Asia ”和“Institutions and Institutional Purpose: Social Policy Reform in East Asia ”。请各位同学关注讲座的具体日程安排并踊跃参加。
另，多伦多大学教授代表团一行将于2008年3月上旬访问我校，届时我院将邀请部分专家、学者来我院讲学。
