人物介绍
AHMED BUX JAMALI
AHMED BUX JAMALI ,Pakistan. In 2019 September, he came to study Ph.D. in International Relations at School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Shanghai International Studies University. His research direction is US-China Relations, Indo-Pacific Security and Strategy, Indian Foreign and Security Policy and China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Throughout his academic journey, he has achieved significant academic progress and attained multiple achievements. He is selected as an Outstanding Student to receive Dean’s Special Award at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs. Jamali believes that this distinction and accomplishments have not been possible without Patience, Passion and Perseverance. He served as Program Coordinator-AIESEC Pakistan-Hyderabad Chapter and Rotaract Fellow for Global Peace. Took part in the International Roundtable on Maritime Security Challenges in the Indo-Pacific: Threats and Responses arranged by Sigur Center for Asian Studies, The George Washington University, USA and Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue 2021, National Maritime Foundation India, Book Discussion by Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement, The 35th Asia-Pacific Roundtable organized by Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia, International Experts Lecture Series prepared by Miriam College, Department of International Studies, Philippines.
Jamali considers that Ph.D. student in the School of International Relations and Public Affairs has been a continuous learning and progressive time. During his stay at Songjiang Campus, he attended all his courses and spent most of the time in the central library, and utilize the library resources to access the full version of articles/reports to cultivate my research skills. As a result, he published 7 research papers in multiple scopes and issue areas such as Belt and Road Initiative, US-China Relations, Indian foreign policy, Indo-Pacific Security Affairs and Maritime Security. These achievements demonstrate his extraordinary ability and enthusiasm towards academical research .
In keeping social practice, he actively contributed to various extracurricular activities such as Tree plantation and won the competition to plant a Cherry Tree on the Songjiang campus of Shanghai International Studies University. Recently, International Students Office selected him to participate in the Dragon Boat Festival organized by Hunan Central Government, Miluo City. As a result and continued efforts, SISU got 3rd position in competing 8 teams.
At present, Jamali is proactively engaged to achieve professional experiences for increasing his teaching and research qualities to enter an academic career. On this account, he is enthusiastic to professionally sound especially at the bilateral cooperation level by engaging with diplomatic, economic, people-to-people, education, research and development resources. We believe this hard-working young man will serve as a bridge between the China and Pakistan on a high level in the future.
