一、教学目的
本课程是上外国际关系与外交事务研究院硕士研究生核心课程。
本课程对学生的知识结构及为专业研究打下扎实的基础是非常重要的。所以，在制订本教学大纲时，除为研究生提供相对完整的知识系统外，教学安排力图突出国际关系认知出发点，将“由史测未、以史涉今、从今涉古、古为今用”定为教学和上课材料的取舍原则。
二、教学内容
以国际关系体系发展为主线，从五大体系――一威斯特伐利亚体系、维也纳体系、俾斯麦大陆同盟体系、凡尔赛/华盛顿体系、雅尔塔体系――将国际关系史课程分成五个教学单元，其内容安排如下：

1、 国际关系的历史发展及基本概念
2、 国际关系基本理论及基本法规和准则
Ⅰ 威斯特伐利亚体系
1、威斯特伐利亚体系形成的背景
2 、欧洲“30年战争”(1618－1648)
2.1.马丁 路德与宗教改革
2.2 《奥格斯堡和约》（1555）
2.3战争起因/战争的四个阶段/战争的成果
3、《威斯特伐利亚和约》(1648)
4、新兴西方世界与海上争霸/西欧扩张
4.1欧洲早期殖民扩张：西班牙、葡萄牙(1500－1600)
4.2荷兰、法国、英国的争霸活动(1600－1763)

4、凡尔赛―华盛顿体系建立后的国际关系新格局

Ⅴ 雅尔塔体系
1、雅尔塔体系形成的国际背景
2、雅尔塔会议及波茨坦协定
3、雅尔塔体系美、苏、英、法对处置德国问题的不同立场

5、雅尔塔体系对国际关系的深刻影响
三、教学要求：
1．要求学生在本学期内必须通读指定阅读书籍。
2．除中文资料外，能根据专题选读外文原版资料(英、德、法、日、俄)扩展认知视角。
3．课程论文题目可根据提供的思考题选题、也可以事先与授课教师商定后自定。
